Fellow educators – I am so glad you're here.

Let's be honest with each other for a moment…

We are seeing more neurodiverse tamariki in our ECE services than ever before. And while that's a beautiful reflection of the incredible diversity in our communities, many of us are quietly asking ourselves: am I actually equipped to support these tamariki in the way they deserve?

It's okay if the answer is "not yet." That's not a failure - it's just where we are. And it's exactly why we're here.

At the same time, so many of us are running on empty. The paperwork, the planning, the pressure to document everything, it adds up. If you've found yourself wondering whether there's a better, more meaningful way to record children's learning without it swallowing your evenings and weekends, you are not alone.

Here's what I want you to hold onto: burnout isn't a sign that you're not cut out for this mahi. It's a sign that something needs to shift. And sometimes the most powerful shift starts with learning something new, not because you have to, but because it genuinely changes the way you see your work.

So let's dive deeper together. Let's build the knowledge, the confidence, and the sustainable practices that mean we can show up fully - for tamariki, for whānau, and for ourselves.
