Secondary mentor teachers

Associate Teachers play a powerful role in shaping how emerging teachers understand learners, difference, and inclusive practice. This webinar invites secondary mentor teachers to explore their influence in modelling and guiding neurodiversity-informed practice within secondary classrooms.

The session focuses on how Associate Teachers can support student teachers to recognise and respond to diverse ways of thinking, learning, and engaging — without lowering expectations or compromising curriculum integrity. We’ll examine what neurodiversity-informed practice looks like in everyday secondary teaching, and how mentors can help student teachers move beyond labels to see the strengths, needs, and potential of every learner.
