Regular reviews
We're here to support you every step of the way. The team at ECE Consultancy Services will invite you to a “policy review” consultation meeting via Kebudel four times per year so you can participate in the regular review of your policies and ensure you are keeping current with any changes. Any policy changes will be provided to you after the review meetings so you can use these to consult with your team and families before adopting them into practice.

Who has created the Policies?
The Policy Package has been created by Paula Hawkings and the team at ECE Consultancy Services. This is a consultancy group who work with many ECE services across Auckland supporting them in compliance and management. As such, they are regularly working alongside teams through MOE Licensing and ERO reviews. Hence they are continuously up to date with current expectations and the various nuances that come from both organisations.
What is included in the Policy Package?
The Policy Package includes all essential policies and procedures which are provided as downloadable templates. These include recommended sections to change or align for your own organisation, and wording that should not be changed. You can add your own logo and footers etc and also update any wording that is preferable for your context.
Is there a review schedule and how are the policies reviewed?
Yes! There is a Review Schedule provided, and x4 live review sessions per year via Zoom. Paula hosts these review meetings and you are invited to attend. Each set of policies that is to be reviewed at each meeting is provided before the meeting so that you can download and use them. Paula explains any changes that have been made and why. Members tell us that it is quite useful to hear from Paula as she also includes relevant feedback they have been given from ERO and MOE in relation to these, and the rationale for any changes. You can also ask questions at the live review sessions.
Do you provide updates to policies outside of the Review Schedule for anything that comes up?
Yes. We send updates periodically throughout the year if anything is reviewed outside of the planned schedule.
How do we access the policy templates and customise them for our own organisation?
Following the scheduled review meetings, you can then update your own policy copies using the templates provided and follow through with consultation internally as required. The policies can be downloaded from ECE Learning Unlimited when you sign into the Policy Package.
Can we make our own changes to the Policies for our context?
The intent of the policies is to support compliance, but also recommended best practices. Each policy template identifies sections that should not be changed, and sections that can be changed. Any further updates can be made at your own discretion.
How long can we have access to the Policy Package for?
The full package, including regular updates, is downloaded from ECELU, and you have access to the policy templates, including the review meetings for two years from purchase.
