Keep your centre financially viable under Pay Parity:

This webinar shares insights so you can see how your centre compares to others; we will share a new advisory from ECC that may help centres faced with unmanageable Pay Parity salary progression costs and introduce our latest updates to the ECC Funding & Compliance Tool.

Presented By

Simon Laube

Webinar Duration

Approximately 60 minutes

Who is this webinar for?

ECE centre owners and managers who have responsibility for ensuring the centre remains financially viable. Advanced skill level required.

Participants are expected to have familiarity with their centre’s total staffing budget, requirements to adjust pay when there are Pay Parity progression changes, and RS7 funding claims.

What will you learn?

Even centres outside of the Pay Parity scheme are not immune to its effects. When recruiting teachers, a centre on base funding rates will face pressure to offer competitive salaries like those at centres in the various Pay Parity funding options (parity, extended and full).

Participants will receive a broad understanding of everything they need to know about Pay Parity in an easy to digest way, supported by clear presentation slides and with opportunities to ask questions.

We will also cover:

  • Your obligations when engaging a relief teacher or employing a new teacher, including how to complete a salary assessment. Why paying step 1 shouldn’t necessarily become a default option.
  • How to approach teachers on the Accredited Employer Work Visa and what to watch out for if they seek residency.
  • New ECC approach to Salary Progression for improved qualifications
  • What else you can do to stay financially viable if you’ve tried everything with Pay Parity and it is just getting worse.

All participants will receive ECC’s updated Funding and Compliance Tool (previously known as the Pay Parity Calculator) which supports you to calculate the best funding option for your centre(s).
