About the presenter
Lisa Addy
I started my journey in the education sector when my eldest started school as a parent help. From there I was able to secure a role as a TA, initially working 1-1 with a particular child before taking a foundation degree which enabled me to run the classroom when the teacher was away. Once in NZ I took a role working in ECE . As part of my time in ECE I took the Incredible Years Teacher course, for me this allowed me to be the teacher I wanted to be. I was then given the opportunity to train to deliver the IY course, which is what I now do as almost my full time role. I have now been delivering the Teacher course the Autism course and now the Beginning course for about 6 years. My highlight is knowing that through the course we are saving teachers and giving children better experiences.
I also work with other businesses supporting them with leadership, teams and communication.
What others said about this webinar:
This webinar has given very good examples on how to help children who have big emotions and ways to handle it. Good explanation over all.

I think that the webinar was not just valuable for individual teaching practices, but also had great resources and advice to teaching teams when dealing with challenging behaviour.

This gave me a few good ideas on how to approach negative behaviour. I found your answer to the child who seemingly lashes our randomly to be very inspiring, we have a child like that in our centre at the moment.
