About the presenter
Lisa Addy
I started my journey in the education sector when my eldest started school as a parent help. From there I was able to secure a role as a TA, initially working 1-1 with a particular child before taking a foundation degree which enabled me to run the classroom when the teacher was away. Once in NZ I took a role working in ECE . As part of my time in ECE I took the Incredible Years Teacher course, for me this allowed me to be the teacher I wanted to be. I was then given the opportunity to train to deliver the IY course, which is what I now do as almost my full time role. I have now been delivering the Teacher course the Autism course and now the Beginning course for about 6 years. My highlight is knowing that through the course we are saving teachers and giving children better experiences.
I also work with other businesses supporting them with leadership, teams and communication.
It covered a variety of different strategies, tools, and emotional regulations to deal with specific scenarios that may occur throughout the child's time at the center.

This webinar was very good and relevant to challenging behaviour in the Centre I am working through myself with a child who does not have much language and is deaf.

Lots of reflective questions for ourselves as teachers to help us respond more calmly and carefully. Thought provoking about how and what things are affecting the child.
